Neighbor in shock after Bullard homicide that left 2 children, 1 woman dead

“I've only ever seen crimes on TV, so having it right there is kind of just a dose of reality," said a neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous.

BULLARD, Texas — A community is in shock Monday following the deaths of three people, including two young children, in Bullard Sunday evening. Investigators say a third child is in critical condition.

“It doesn't make you feel comfortable with it happening right there, in your face,” said a neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous. “I've only ever seen crimes on TV, so having it right there is kind of just a dose of reality.”

At least one neighbor who lives in the neighborhood is concerned following the homicide that left three people dead.

Investigators said the victims were found inside a home near Bullard High School.

“Our officers were dispatched here on Guinn Street to a reported homicide,” Bullard police spokesperson Sgt. Judith Tuell said. “Upon arrival, officers were able to confirm that we had three deceased, two juveniles and one adult female. One child has been transported to a local hospital in critical condition.”

Investigators are treating the case as a homicide but have not released information on how the victims were killed. The anonymous neighbor  shared what she saw that night.

“I went out to get or drop the trash into our bin at some time after 7 p.m., and there was already six to seven police cars,” she said. “We knew it was bad when after about an hour or so, they packed up all the life saving measures, and we saw a medical examiner or a detective.”

Authorities confirmed the bodies of all three victims have been sent to the medical examiner for autopsies.

As the investigation continues, neighbors still remain on edge.

“It still scares us. I mean we know that it's not, it doesn't happen here. That's not true," the anonymous neighbor said.  "People feel that way, but it's not true. Either way, it sucks. It's really heartbreaking,”

A GoFundMe is set up on behalf of the family, includes a photo of the two young victims.

According to the organizer of the GoFundMe and the children's father, 4-year-old Madilynn "May May" Evans and 2-year-old Maison "Mace Mace" Evans were killed in the incident that police say is under investigation as a homicide.
