Mrs. Baird's donates bread to East Texas Food Bank during fourth annual Fighting Texas Hunger campaign

The company is donating over 165,000 loaves of bread to local food banks in East Texas. They were in Tyler to deliver 10,000 loaves to the East Texas Food Bank.

TYLER, Texas — During the month of June, Mrs. Baird's is holding their fourth annual Fighting Texas Hunger campaign.

This year, the company is donating over 165,000 loaves of bread to local food banks in East Texas. They were in Tyler to deliver 10,000 loaves to the East Texas Food Bank on Thursday.

ETFB CEO David Emerson said this donation comes at a time when many East Texans are in need of food.

"I mean certainly right now coming out of the storms, people had to throw a lot away that was in their homes," Emerson said. "And this gift will actually be able to help people immediately. We'll actually be putting them into our pantries starting today.

On June 28 Mrs. Baird's will be hosting their day of giving. For every loaf of bread purchased on June 28, Mrs. Baird send one loaf to the East Texas Food Bank.
