Tyler Junior College names Brett Doe new head baseball coach

Brett Doe will take over the head job for the Apaches after Doug Wren became the Apaches Athletic Director.

TYLER, Texas — The TJC Apaches have announced its new head baseball coach.

Brett Doe will take over the head job for the Apaches after Doug Wren became the Apaches Athletic Director.

Doe, a Mesquite Poteet alumnus, has spent the past three seasons as the head coach at Dodge City compiling a 96-79 overall record. 

Prior to his time at Dodge City, Doe spent five seasons at this alma mater Navarro College as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. 

After graduating high school, Doe went to Navarro College helping lead them to the 2011 NJCAA National Championship before making his way to Waco to play for the Baylor Bears. He was drafted in the 38th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins.
