Tyler Transit announces temporary bus stop interruptions during Juneteenth Parade

Affected bus stops will reopen after 2 p.m. Signs announcing the route closures and alternate stops have been placed at all affected bus stops.

TYLER, Texas — The City of Tyler announced Friday that some Tyler Transit routes will be temporarily closed during the Juneteenth Parade this weekend.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the following Tyler Transit bus stops along Route 20 North Tyler will be closed:

  • Stop - Gentry Parkway and Glenwood Boulevard
  • Stop 309 - Gentry Parkway and Englewood Avenue
  • Stop 115 - 509 W 32nd St. near the Glass Recreation Center
  • Stop 116 - 701 W 32nd St. at Woldert Park
  • Stop 117 - 32nd Street and Grand Avenue
  • Stop 120 - Grand Avenue and 28th Street
  • Stop 121 - 2404 N Grand Ave. at Texas College
  • Stop 122 - Grand Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard
  • Stop - Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Tenneha Avenue
  • Stop - Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Broadway Avenue

In a press release, the City of Tyler also announced the following alternate stops for Saturday:

  • Stop 428 - Palace Avenue and Gentry Parkway
  • Stop 311 - 2203 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd at Caldwell Zoo
  • Stop - 32nd Street and Broadway Avenue
  • Stop - Fannin Avenue and Broadway Avenue

Affected bus stops will reopen after 2 p.m. According to the City of Tyler, signs announcing the route closures and alternate stops have been placed at all affected bus stops.

In addition to route interruptions, the Tyler Transit website said that Tyler Transit Fixed Route, Paratransit, MicroTransit, and administrative office will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth, and will reopen June 20.
