POLICE: Suspect in custody after high-speed chase through Whitehouse, Tyler and Chapel Hill

SCSO said the pursuit came to a stop near FM 2607 after the suspect pulled over and was taken into custody.

WHITEHOUSE, Texas — A suspect is now in custody after a alleged forgery attempt at a Whitehouse bank turned into a high-speed chase.

Tasha Hudson, 35, has been arrested after a police pursuit ended near Chapel Hill. According to Smith County Sheriff's Office, Whitehouse police were called to the Southside Bank in Whitehouse for a potential forgery. When officers arrived, Hudson fled the scene and a pursuit began.

Whitehouse police discontinued its pursuit of the vehicle as the vehicle headed into Tyler. Smith County Sheriff's Office continued along with DPS officers until the pursuit ended east of Chapel Hill.
