LUFKIN, Texas — An East Texas man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a Lufkin bank.
Robert Harris, 47, of Center, was arrested Wednesday for accusations of robbing Cadence Bank in Lufkin.
According to police, Harris handed a teller at the bank a note demanding money. Once Harris received the money, he fled to a vehicle across the street.
Officers spotted Harris near Casey Road in Lufkin and a pursuit began. Following a pursuit that reached speeds up to 70 mph, Harris was arrested and the money was recovered.
