TYLER, Texas — Angel tree's aren't just for humans in need.
The SPCA East Texas has erected angel trees for animals within the shelter as they wait adoption.
On the tree is ornaments featuring pictures of the animals, their name and their needs this holiday season. This includes toys, liter and food.
"We're in need of some basic items, beds are a big one particularly for dogs," Executive Director of the SPCA of East Texas Emily Hegmund said.
The trees will be up until the end of the year and anyone is eligible to pick up an ornament featuring an animal.
