SMITH COUNTY, Texas — Organizations in Smith County are pitching in to help East Texans affected by this week's severe weather as well as past weather events.
Several of these and other organizations are offering their services to help residents as they recover from severe weather throughout the week.
Glass Recreation Center: Charging station, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Tyler Senior Center: Charging station, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Tyler Public Library: Charging station, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Ohayo Sushi: Charging station, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Bullard Intermediate School: Charging station, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and meals.
Grace Community Church: Helping people cut down and remove trees from private property.
Rose City Oil: Helping people cut down and remove trees from private property.
Church of the Pines: Cutting fallen trees on Saturday.
Accurate Roof Systems: Emergency tarping roofs for free.
Crisis Response Ministries: Providing spiritual, emotional, practical and physical care and support to individuals and families.
Mr. Green Jeans Tree Service: Helping people cut down and remove trees from private property.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: Helping people cut down and remove trees from private property.
Green Acres Baptist Church: Offering free lunch, laundry, and shower facilities. Find more information here.
