Longview city council votes to support Teague Park project

Mayor Andy Mack asked the council for approval of what would be a first step: making the park visible and accessible directly from Marshall Avenue.

LONGVIEW, Texas — The Longview City Council agreed Thursday to move ahead with plans that would help transform Teague Park.

Mayor Andy Mack asked the council for approval of what would be a first step: making the park visible and accessible directly from Marshall Avenue by adding an entryway from the major thoroughfare.

"We have the option today to make a meaningful change to this tremendous facility located in the heart of our community, and in doing so, continue to revitalize East Marshall Avenue," Mack said.
