'Unturning Steel': Brother of veteran who committed suicide finds purpose in vet career program

LONGVIEW, Texas — Sean Leahy struggled when he came home after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he fought in Fallujah and Marjah.

He went to work for a company in Philadelphia as the chief safety officer, but he wasn’t passionate about the job, said his mother, Longview resident Laura Leahy.

She and her husband, Tom, live in the city now but didn’t raise their family of five children here.
