Kilgore teen charged with murder in connection with Sunday shooting

Munoz was booked into the Gregg County Jail and is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Munoz's bond totals $250,000.

KILGORE, Texas — A Kilgore teenager has been charged with murder following a June 23 shooting 

According to the Kilgore Police Department, just after midnight, officers were called to the intersection of Thompson St. and Myrtle St. on reports of a shooting. 

When police arrived on scene, they found one man dead and another who was flown to a Tyler hospital for treatment.

SWAT was called to the scene and learned Danyael Munoz, 17, had left the location and was at a home in the northern part of the city. After negotiating with Munoz and family members, Munoz was taken into custody. 

Munoz was booked into the Gregg County Jail and is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond totals $250,000.
