CARTHAGE, Texas — Out of the darkness of tragedy shines some of the best in community.
As the Panola County community continues to mourn the death of Deputy Chris Dickerson, tributes from around Texas, the nation and world continue to pour in to give the sheriff's office and Dickerson's family hope.
The Texas Team Foundation out of Houston visited the Panola County Sheriff's Office Tuesday to deliver a special gift for Deputy Dickerson's family. The foundation, which helps supports the families of fallen Texas peace officers, gave Dickerson's family with blankets made for each member of the family.
The foundation also presented the Panola County Sheriff's Office with a plaque that will forever memorialize Chris Dickerson's memory.
