Children's Miracle Network hosts 2nd annual luncheon fundraiser to benefit local children

All the money raised stays right here in East Texas. They take little donations and do big things for the community.

TYLER, Texas — The Children's Miracle Network took some time on Wednesday to thank its many volunteers and donors for making a difference in East Texas.

CBS19's Marangeli Lopez was among the panelists at the “Meaning of Miracles" luncheon at Willowbrook Country Club on Wednesday, May 1. 

The CMN at Christus Trinity Mother Frances is the only hospital from Shreveport to Dallas that is funded by the Children's Miracle Network. All the money raised stays right here in East Texas. They take little donations and do big things for the community.

"Great for families just like mine who are normal people. Children's Miracle Network buys so much of the equipment that takes care of the children that visit Christus Trinity Mother Frances," Holly De La Cruz, a the mother of 2020 Miracle Child Kimber, said. 

There were about 150 people in attendance at the second annual luncheon, which served as a fundraiser for the organization.
