TYLER, Texas — Mark your calendars! From this Tuesday through Saturday, the Tyler Junior College Earth and Space Science Center will be hosting special spring break shows in the planetarium, promising an out-of-this-world experience for all visitors.
"We have a different show at the top of each hour," said Gayla Morrison, coordinator at the TJC Earth and Space Science Center. "The children's show and dinosaur show, the mountain adventure, the eclipse show that gets you ready for the upcoming eclipse on April 8."
Leading up to the eclipse, the planetarium will host two special shows to help everyone get ready. Plus, attendees can get a free pair of solar eclipse glasses while supplies last.
The theater boasts a 40-foot dome where the shows are projected. For those looking to catch more than one show, don't miss the downstairs exhibit – an additional treat to explore during your visit.
"The exhibit has a velocity lab that's hands-on computer games and rock and mineral wall and an eclipse exhibit," Morrison said.
To visit the Earth and Space Science Center, people can get their tickets online at tjc.sciencecenter.edu or simply buy them at the door.
