New owners Nation’s Best began business at East Texas Lumber this week, and Kilgore Mayor Ronnie Spradlin discussed selling the business which has been in his family for three generations and has become a Kilgore landmark.
“As I was looking towards retirement and trying to weigh what all of my options were, I was contacted by a young company buying lumberyards and building a big network of lumber/hardware stores,” Spradlin said.
“East Texas Lumber was a good fit for their business plan, and they have plans to grow the business. They have a great track record of taking good care of employees and customers.”
