TYLER, Texas — Good morning East Texas,
We are staying warm and mostly dry today, but changes are on the way tomorrow. A line of storms will bring strong winds, small hail and heavy rain Thursday morning and again Thursday night. Some areas of East Texas could pick up almost 5 inches of rain. Remember to watch for standing water on the roads. Rain chances continue through the rest of the week. The weekend won't be a washout, but there is a very good chance for a round of rain and thunder Saturday evening.
Here's your forecast:
TODAY:
You won't have to work very hard outside Wednesday to work up a sweat. It'll be warm again but tomorrow the humidity will be noticeable higher. Wishing for a breeze or a shower to cool you off? You'll have to wait until the afternoon for isolated showers or a southeast wind to kick up a perhaps provide some natural air-conditioning. Wednesday's afternoon high temperature will reach the mid to upper 80s.
TOMORROW:
Tomorrow is a CBS19 Eye on Weather day. A line of thunderstorms will reach our western most counties around 3 A.M. These storms will continue to race through the piney woods during the morning hours. Be prepared for gusty winds, small hail and heavy rain, with some areas picking up almost 5 inches of rain. This brings a level 3 out of 4 risk of flooding. Make sure to drive with care and avoid flooded roadways.
