VAN, Texas — According to the Texas Department of Transportation, sinkhole repair work on Interstate 20 near mile marker 544 is complete and traffic is back to normal.

The sinkhole originally opened up around 3:40 p.m. on Monday. TxDOT then rerouted traffic through Farm-to-Market Road 1995. The closure backed up travel for miles and delayed drivers for hours.
