Will we see any rain for Friday Night Football?

Heading to a game Friday night? CBS 19 Meteorologist Brittany Mireles has you covered! Check his forecast now!

TYLER, TX — Some games last Friday for Under the Lights saw some fairly dry weather so that means there is one burning question in everyone's mind. Will we see rain this game day? Let's take a look!

Broadly:

On the broad scale things will be cool and cloudy across East Texas tonight. Skies will be mostly cloudy for most all of the region. Expect winds from the northeast, and dry air if you happen to not see any rain tonight. Rain chances will be slightly higher to the north and will continue throughout the night. Temps will be in the upper 50s at kick off and finish the games in the mid to upper 50s.

Rain:

Rain for tonight comes in the form of showers and maybe a thunderstorm. These chances for rain will increase as we get into the night and early morning of Saturday. Chances will be higher to the north tonight, but all games have the chance of seeing some showers. You should plan to bring the rain gear tonight, but you should check the CBS 19 app before heading out just to be sure!

Winds:

Winds will be mostly from the north at kickoff and blowing around 5 to 10 mph. This pattern will stay the same throughout the game. Winds should not be a major factor for tonight's games, but will make it feel chilly out there.

The weather won't be perfect for tonights games, a little cold, rainy and breezy in some places, but overall it certainly won't be a bad night for football in East Texas. Open the CBS 19 app for one last check of the radar before the games and make sure to get out and enjoy the evening! Hope to see you Under the Lights!
