Several people were left without a home after an overnight fire at an Lufkin apartment complex.
The fire broke out at Stephens Court Apartments at 1611 E. Denman Avenue at about 12:37 a.m.
According to the Lufkin police, the fire started in a ground floor apartment and quickly spread throughout the building.
In all, 12 apartments were affected.
The Red Cross is helping the affected families.
The fire remains under investigation.
