LONGVIEW, Texas — The Longview Fire Department has released more information on a fire crews responded to Friday afternoon.
According to the LFD, crews were called to the scene of a reported structure fire around 11:30 a.m. at 3201 Martin Luther King Boulevard, about half-a-mile north of Interstate 20.
When units arrived on scene, they found a passenger van on fire, and the blaze had spread to the carport and house.
The LFD says the owner of the vehicle told officials he had been doing mechanical work on the van when it caught fire.
The fire was extinguished with no injuries reported.
