According to the Kilgore Police Department Facebook page, a one vehicle accident at the 1400 block of Houston Street has knocked out power to area residents.
The roadway will be closed and police are asking the public to use an alternate route.
According to the SWEPCO outage map around 1,500 people are without power. SWEPCO has been notified.
