LONE STAR — One person died and four others were taken to the hospital after an explosion happened at around 3:45 p.m. Friday at "Lone Star Specialties" in Lone Star.
According to the Lone Star Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office got a 911 call about an explosion.
Multiple agencies were sent to the scene.
When first responders got there, they saw there were five victims involved.
Four of them were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Texas Rangers Office and the State Fire Marshalls Office asked to help with the investigation.
Later on, the fifth victim, William Rudd from Yale, Oklahoma, was pronounced dead.
Because the circumstances were not known, an autopsy was requested.
Due to the circumstances of his death, the Longview Fire Department Station 5A was called to get his body.
The scene was released to the State Fire Marshals Office.
