TYLER, Texas — Howdy, East Texas!
High pressure over the eastern United States will send us a southerly wind the remainder of the weekend and to start the next week. This will result in warm and sunny days with a high temperatures in the low to mid-90s. Don't like the heat? Just wait, because on Monday night, the season's strongest cold front arrives bringing our first real feel of fall with morning lows late next week in the 50s and highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.
Here's your forecast:
SUNDAY:
It's Summer in October! Not really... but it definitely will feel like it! That southwest wind continues to blow, bringing warm air up from the gulf and helping our afternoon temperatures climb close to the record of 94. In fact, we could possibly tie or break that record. The sunny, dry skies only help the chances of a warm afternoon that will make you want to go to the pool more than the pumpkin patch.
MONDAY:
After a day of record heat, it's gone just like that. The final feel of Summer really will go out with a bang, as Monday's high temperature won't be nearly as warm. You can except it to still make it into the upper 80s, but a strong cold front makes it's way into the Piney Woods bringing morning lows in the low 50s and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s! It's finally going to feel more like fall, and we are likely done with that Summer like warmth. Get those sweaters and blankets ready!
