CBS19 WEATHER: The warm temperatures will be back just as quick as it cooled off!

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Good evening East Texas, did you feel the drop in temperatures this afternoon?

Get ready... we've got weather whiplash this week!  We will bounce between the upper 70s and mid 50s this week, even dropping into the 30s in the early morning hours later this week. With it being one of the busiest travel weeks of the entire year, tomorrow looks like one of the best travel days nationwide. Rain and snow begin to complicate the forecast by midweek with rain over most of the central U.S on Wednesday and snow in the Rockies. Rain remains likely on Thanksgiving Day from the northeastern U.S. to Shreveport, Louisiana. Here in East Texas, Thanksgiving may end up mostly to partly cloudy and cool with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.

TONIGHT:

The cold front has already made it's afternoon impact, but now it will only get colder overnight. If you like to sleep on the chilly side, you'll be happy to know the outside air will be in the mid to low 40s overnight... however if you need it warmer you might want to flip on the heater or grab the extra blanket.

TUESDAY:

It will be a cool and mostly sunny day in East Texas.  We will be in the low 40s as you head out early, but we will make it the mid 60s by the afternoon. It will be pretty on par with where we should be on average this time of year in the mid to low 60s. It will be a beautiful day for those pre-holiday errands or Turkey Trot training! The cherry on top is that the cold front that came in on Monday brought much drier air along with it.

TUESDAY NIGHT:

Winds could begin to get a little gusty as they shift from North to South overnight, and temperatures won't fall nearly as cold. Overnight Lows will only make it to the mid and upper 50s under mostly clear skies.

THANKSGIVING FORECAST:

The day starts chilly for any turkey trotters out there, with morning lows in the upper 40s. By the afternoon, skies will stay partly cloudy and high temperatures will rise into the upper 50s. Friday morning will be much colder as you head out for early morning shopping or starting your Christmas decorating!
