TYLER, Texas — Hey East Texas,
Another chilly night is on tap for East Texas but a warmup is on the way over the weekend. We know next week many of you will be travelling and at this time Tuesday looks like the best travel day nationwide. Rain and snow begin to complicate the forecast by midweek with rain over most of the central U.S. Wednesday and snow in the Rockies. Rain remains likely on Thanksgiving Day from the northeastern U.S. to Shreveport, Louisiana. Here in East Texas, Thanksgiving may end up mostly cloudy and cool with highs in the lower 60s. Keep checking back for updates.
SATURDAY:
Think layers this weekend. For instance Saturday morning's temperatures will be in the upper 30s and low 40s but by afternoon, under a sunny sky, we will warm into the low to mid-70s. The wind will be light and out of the south to southeast at 5 to 10 mph. A few clouds will spread into East Texas Saturday night thanks to south winds. The south winds will also lead to a warmer night with lows in the mid-50s.
SUNDAY:
High pressure continues to dominate the forecast through the end of the weekend. That will set up a warming trend. Sunday will be unseasonably warm. We will climb to about 15 degrees above average and make a run at the low 80s.
