CBS19 WEATHER: Starting your week with a Weather Impact Alert day!

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Hey there, East Texas!

The start to the weekend was full of gloomy skies, rain at times, and temperatures that really didn't rise much further than the mid 70s. While it has certainly looked the part of holiday weather, it hasn't yet had that cold and crisp feel. However, mid November looks like it's going to finally bring us that more seasonal weather. With that being said, this week, we have two weather impact alert days for widespread rain, and the arrival of cold air.

TONIGHT:

Scattered showers continue throughout the night, however none of these showers are expected to be severe. Temperatures will once again fall into the id 60s, feeling very muggy and misty.

MONDAY:

Monday is a weather impact alert day for widespread rain and scattered storms. A strong line of storms move from the West and to the East, weakening as they get to East Texas. Almost everyone will see rain on Monday, however the National Weather Service does have all of East Texas under a level 1 out of  risk for severe weather due to storms moving through. Gusty wind is the main threat. They look to pick up steam once again as they exit Texas and move to our East. After that Tuesday is filled with plenty of sunshine!

UPCOMING WEATHER IMPACT ALERT:

Keep this on your radar as we look ahead: In addition to Monday, Wednesday is also a weather impact alert day for our coldest drop in temperatures so far this year! When you wake up on Wednesday, grab a sweater, as our temperatures will be in the upper 40s and likely only rise to the upper 50s by the afternoon under sunny skies!
