LUFKIN, Texas — A part of a street in Lufkin will be closed due to road construction beginning Monday evening.
According to the City of Lufkin, a portion of Champions Drive will be closed due to a resurfacing project.
Beginning from the entrance by the Shell Station up to the intersection of Champions Drive to the exit to Brentwood Drive will be closed, officials said.
Officials will close this part of the street starting at 4:30 p.m. Monday and will stay close through tomorrow, July 25.
Locals who live in the area will be granted access but should expect traffic delays, officials said.
