SMITH COUNTY, Texas — Officials continue to search for a man involved in a car pursuit that fled into the woods Tuesday afternoon in the Gresham area.
According to the Smith County Sheriff's Office, police are searching for a man after a car chase began on FM 2493. The suspect stopped the vehicle and jumped out of the car, feeing to a wooded area.
Police said the suspect is wanted for charges unknown at this moment.
Officials have set up a perimeter off of FM 2493, just behind the Whataburger in the Gresham area.
The Smith County Sheriff, DPS, and Bullard Police are on the scene.
A drone is being used to locate the suspect, police said.
