NACOGDOCHES, Texas — The Nacogdoches Police Department is working a major traffic accident in the 1200 block of NW Stallings Drive involving an 18-wheeler and a white subcompact sports utility vehicle.
According to the police department, three adults and one chld were in the white vehicle. One ofthe adult passangers was pronounced at the scene.
Initial inforatmion at this time was the 18-wheeler was traveling northbound on NW Stallings Drive when it struck the white vehicle that was attempting to make a U-turn, according to police.
Two adults and one child were transported to a local hospital.
Traffic Division is on scene conducting an investigation and collecting evidencs.
TxDot is assistening with traffic.
All northbound traffic is being rerouted and the southbound traffic is down to one lane.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek an alterante route.
