LUFKIN, Texas — Morris Frank Park will be closed while it undergoes renovations in Lufkin.
The city of Lufkin said due to heavier construction phases, the park is not safe for citizens to access. This includes the disc golf and walking trail areas.
“In the coming days, you may notice the installation of gates and temporary fencing,” said Jessica Pebsworth, City of Lufkin Communications Director. “We ask that you respect these barriers, as they are intended to keep you safe. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this closure.”
Pebsworth suggests citizens visit alternative locations such as Kiwanis Park for their disc golf needs and the Azalea Trail or Jones Lake Park Walking Trail.
