LIST: Flooding, road closures reported across East Texas

Drivers should use caution and remember, "TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN."

GLADEWATER, Texas — Several roadways across East Texas are experiencing flooding issues resulting in road closures. 

The following are closures that have been reported by city and county officials across the area:

TYLER

  • West Cumberland Road between South Broadway Avenue and Paluxy Drive
  • Garden Valley Road 
  • The intersection of East Front Street and Earl Street
  • North Northwest Loop 323/Garden Valley Rd.  
  • West Grande Boulevard
  • US 69, Farm-to-Market Road 346 at Loop 49

SMITH COUNTY

  • Southbound and northbound lanes of Highway 69 South, north of Farm-to-Market Road 346 are shut down due to water over roadway
  • County Road 463
  • County Road 472
  • County Road 129
  • County Road 185
  • County Road 1131
  • County Road 113
  • Farm-to-Market Road 3311 from State Highway 155 to I-20

GREGG COUNTY

  • Lonesome Pine between Hunter and North Ridge
  • Old Highway 135, south of Smith Road
  • Highway 135, south of Country Club
  • Farm-to-Market Road 1650 off U.S. Highway 259
  • Mackey Road at the Upshur County line
  • Big Woods Road and Campbell Road

LONGVIEW

  • McCann Road at North Fuller Road
  • Lois Jackson Park
  • Dumas Road
  • Lafamo Road near Lafamo Creek
  • Brent Road
  • Pliler Precise Road at Judson Road

GLADEWATER

  • Shell Camp Road
  • Phillip Springs Road
  • East Lake Drive
  • Highway 271 at McComic Road
  • Texas Highway 135
  • Lake Devernia Road at the bridge 
  • Highway 80 at North Cotton Street intersection

Gladewater police say Lake Gladewater is also closed at this time due to high water levels.

UPSHUR COUNTY

  • 154 East between Gilmer and Diana 
  • Green Hills Road 
  • Farm-to-Market Road 1650
  • Farm-to-Market 1650, west of Hwy 259 (small bridge is flooded)
  • Daisy Lane
  • Glenwood Drive off of FM 726 
  • Christie Road Northeast of Diana
  • Martin Lane on both sides near Green Hills Road

ORE CITY

  • Farm-to-Market Road 1649, just south of Ore City Elementary School (water is over the roadway at the rear entrance)

WHITEHOUSE

  • Highway 110 North is partially blocked and the outside lane past the Post Office is flooded

MINEOLA

  • West Patten Street at Loop 564
  • North end of Sycamore Street and Boundary Street

MABANK

  • County Road 4006/Harbor Point Road

HENDERSON COUNTY

  • Peachtree Street
  • Highway 334 East

ATLANTA

  • Main Street from North Howe Street to High School Lane
  • Pecan Street

Anderson County

  • Farm-to-Market Road 315 between Farm-to-Market Road 837 and US Highway 175

Van Zandt County

Farm-to-Market Road 857 from east of Farm-to-Market Road 1255 to west of Farm-to-Market Road 1253

REMINDER: It's illegal to go around barricades. According to the White Oak Police Department, if they were placed on a road due to flood waters and you drive around them and survive your decision, it is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and $2,000 fine.
