Downtown Tyler streets to be shutdown for Rose City Music Festival this weekend

In preparation for the event, streets will begin to close down starting Friday, Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m. and will reopen Sunday, Oct. 15 at 3 a.m.

TYLER, Texas — Several streets will be closed in preparation for the Rose City Music Festival this weekend in Downtown Tyler.

According to the city of Tyler, starting Friday, Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m., there will be several streets closed down in the Downtown Tyler-area.

The streets that will closed down for the festival are listed below:

  • Starting at 10:30 a.m.: Closure of the square portion of Broadway. Traffic will be rerouted on the North and South bound lanes around the square.
    • Reducing S. Broadway to only right lane open going north. Drivers must turn righto on Erwin. 
    • Reducing E. Erwin to only right lane open.
    • Reducing Spring Ave. to only right lane open.
    • Reducing E. Ferguson to only right lane open. Drivers must turn right on N. Broadway.
  • 5:00 p.m:The west side of the square will closed.
    • Erwin St. will be closed at Bois D Arc.
    • Ferguson St. will be closed at Bois D Arc.
  • 5:30 p.m: Southbound traffic on N. Broadway will be directed to turn right on Locust.
    • Full closure of square on all sides. There will be no northbound lanes opened and drivers must take Elm to Spring.
    • College Ave. will be closed at Locust and College.

Streets will reopen on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 3 a.m.

City of Tyler said downtown businesses will still be open. Parking will be available at the Fair Plaza Parking Garage.
