TYLER, Texas — The head coach of the UT-Tyler men's basketball team resigned Thursday.

"We would like to thank Coach Copeland for his commitment to his student-athletes and UT Tyler over the past six years," Athletic Director Dr. Howard Patterson said.

The University of Texas at Tyler Director of Athletics Dr. Howard Patterson announced head men's basketball coach Jamon Copeland has resigned.

Copeland joined the Patriots in 2013, going 15-12 and making it to the semi-finals of the American Southwest tournament.
