TYLER, Texas — It was a night to remember on the court as former Player of the Week Kalyse Buffin reached a major milestone, scoring her 2,000th career point during the Lady Lions' matchup against Whitehouse.
Coming into the game just 15 points shy of the mark, Buffin delivered in style, racking up a game-high 26 points to lead her team to a commanding 62-38 victory.
Buffin’s achievement was celebrated mid-game, but the senior standout didn’t let the festivities slow her down.
After the game, Buffin reflected on the milestone, sharing her excitement about the accomplishment and crediting her teammates and coaches for their support throughout her career.
"I'm just blessed and grateful I got to do it in front of the crowd," said Buffin. "I just want to thank my teammates and the community we just come out here and play hard everyday and I'm blessed to do that."
With performances like this, Buffin continues to solidify her legacy as one of the top players in the region. The Lady Lions' season looks bright with their star player shining on all fronts.
