Tyler High Lady Lion ballers ready to improve on 2023-24 season

The Lady Lions finished with an overall 30-10 record and went undefeated in district.

TYLER, Texas — The Tyler High Lady Lions had a successful 2023-24 season finishing with an overall record of 30-10.

The Lady Lions basketball team won the 5A-District 15 championship going a perfect 14–0.

With the district trophy sitting in Tyler High's trophy case, the Lady Lions hit the court this year with high hopes for the 2024-25 season.

"Last year record was last year's record," Head Coach Bobby Reynolds said. "We're more in tune on trying to be the best team in Tyler. I've told the girls that we're not even the best team that has ever come through Tyler High yet. So in order for us to do that, we're going to stay locked in and focus, because I do know those teams out there that are wanting to get us back."

They started practice two weeks ago, focusing on connecting well as a team with the six seniors in their lineup. Expectations are high for the Lady Lions this season and so are their goals.

"Back-to-back district champions -- go further than what we went last year," Reynolds said.

Tyler High will face off against Plano, Nov. 2.
