LONGVIEW, Texas — Former Longview Lobo standout and current Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King was named to his second preseason award "Watch List" on Monday.
Already on the East-West Shrine Bowl Watch List, King was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List on Monday. The Maxwell Award has been presented to the College Football Player of the Year since 1937.
Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced Nov. 12, while the three finalists will be unveiled on Nov. 26, 2024.
