WHITEHOUSE, Texas — An East Texas city has rescinded a water boil notice after a main water line was broken Wednesday evening.
According to the city of Whitehouse, a company hit an 8" water main line while working to install fiber on Highway 110 North around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
As of 10 a.m. on Thursday, repairs have been completed and crews are working to collect samples to be tested for quality, according to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The city decided to reduce the pressure on the mainline which triggered a boil water notice.
