The victim in the murder case involving a Tyler nurse has been identified as Christopher William Greenaway, 47, of Tyler.
Greenaway was born March 10, 1970, in Columbia, South Carolina, according to an online obituary. He died Aug. 6, 2017, in Tyler.
Greenaway worked as a pilot for medical transport. He achieved the U.S. Coast Guard Captains License, PADI Open Water Diver Certificate and National Eagle Scouts, according to the obituary.
He served in the U.S. Army and was received many awards including the U.S. Army Aviator Badge, U.S. Army Aircraft Crewman Badge, U.S. Army Accommodation Medal and National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star.
Through organ donation he saved the lives of four people directly and many others indirectly through tissue donation, according to the obituary.
