MARION COUNTY, Texas — The Upshur Rural Electric Cooperative is warning citizens to stay away from downed power lines caused by fallen trees following Saturday's storms.
The URECC says power lines have been reported down just north of Jefferson.
"If you see a downed power line, assume it is live and dangerous," URECC said in a statement. "Do not go near it, do not drive over it and definitely don't touch it or anything that may be touching the line."
