UPDATE: LONGVIEW (KYTX) -- Eight days after a train derailed in Longview, Cotton St. and Journal St. are now back open to traffic.
UPDATE: Longview Fire Department received a call around 10:27 Tuesday night about a train derailment on the Spur between Cotton St. and MLK. Longview Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary told CBS19 a total of 7 cars derailed. They were hauling LP Gas, put non of the product leaked out. Zackary says Cotton St. between Eastman Road and Mobberly is closed right now and please avoid the area.
CBS19 has a crew on the scene and will pass along any updates as we get them.
