Tyler Transit will continue to provide fixed-route and paratransit services today, Feb. 25, at a slower pace with some modifications to the routes.

The Red, Yellow, Green and Blue Lines will all be modified to accommodate the hazardous conditions.

On the Yellow Line's southwest route, after the stop at Grande Boulevard and Gleneagles Drive, the buses will not turn left onto Old Jacksonville Highway going toward Fresh, but will instead turn right and proceed down Old Jacksonville Highway toward Loop 323. These stops will be affected: Old Jacksonville Highway and Grande Boulevard southbound, Oak Hill Boulevard and Park Ridge Drive, and Three Lakes Parkway and Old Jacksonville Highway.

On the Yellow Line's southeast route, the route will change after the stop at McDonald Road and Loop 323. Rather than continuing east on McDonald Road, turning onto Patriot Drive, east on Varsity Drive and north on Old Omen Road to get to 5th Street; the Yellow line will go north on Loop 323 and turn left onto 5th Street. The stops that will be affected include: McDonald Road and Patriot Drive, the University of Texas at Tyler and Old Omen Road, Old Omen Road and McDonald Road, Old Omen Road and Sandalwood Lane, Old Omen Drive and Lamont Street and 5th Street and Pine Crest Drive.

On the Green Line, the bus will turn north from McDonald Road onto Loop 323 West, then west on 5th Street, instead of going to UT Tyler. The affected stops include: McDonald Road and Patriot Drive, Patriot Drive and Varsity Boulevard, UT Tyler and Varsity Drive, UT Tyler and Old Omen Road southbound, Old Omen Road and Eastwood Boulevard, Old Omen Road and Stonebrook Lane, Summerwood Apartments and Old Omen Road, The Hamptons and Old Omen Road, UT Tyler and Old Omen Road northbound, Old Omen Road and McDonald Road, Old Omen Road and Sandalwood Lane, Old Omen Road and Lamont Street, and 5th Street and Pine Crest Drive.

The Red Line will not be running the northbound route. Instead, the bus will turn south onto Broadway Avenue after the Salvation Army stop.

The Blue Line will not turn onto Robertson Road, it will instead continue south on Loop 323.

Riders should expect delays with the buses due to the inclement weather. Visit www.TylerBus.com for route maps and updates.
