Two arrested in Marshall Shooting that injured one child

MARSHALL (KYTX)- On January 1, at approximately 4:13 p.m., Marshall Police Department Communications received several 911 calls reporting shots being fired in the 800 block of West Emory Street located inside the city limits of Marshall.

One caller stated that one subject had possibly been shot. Marshall's Patrol Bureau and Marshall Firefighters/EMT's were notified and responded to the area.

Officers located a small child in need of medical attention. The small child was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall for treatment. The child was treated and released for a minor injury. The injury was sustained from debris due to the shots that were fired into the residence.

Detectives from the Marshall Criminal Investigation Bureau along with the Crime Scene Unit were notified and responded to the scene. During the investigation, several subjects were interviewed and information was obtained that led to the identity of two of the suspects involved.

Warrants for Willie Lee Jones Jr.,23, and Jaron Demarcus Tucker 23, both of Marshall, Texas, were obtained. On January 8, both Tucker and Jones were arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct.

The investigation is still on-going for additional suspects involved in the drive by.
