PALM BEACH CO. FL (WPTV) - Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is investigating an incident in which it says tiger bit a person near Ranch Colony off Southeast Mack Dairy Road.
It says first responders found a patient that had suffered a bite injury from a large cat.
Fire rescue identified the patient as a male. He was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment.
A Florida wildlife spokesperson said he may have suffered a severed thumb.
Florida Wildlife officials say the big cat was housed on private property and properly licensed. It says the cat was in a cage and a construction worker put his hand in the cage and was bitten.
