Texarkana man arrested after attempting to sell stolen property online to detectives

TEXARKANA, AR. (KYTX) – Bowie County Sheriff's office reports on November 6, 2014, Investigators Robby McCarver and David Biggar were assisting Texarkana Arkansas Police Detective Alan Fincher with the recovery of property stolen during a burglary in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Detective Fincher had arranged a meeting with 25-year-old Dustin Ray Vann, of Texarkana, Arkansas, in the 4600 block of South Lake Drive, after finding where Vann had listed the property stolen during the burglary for sale online.

Vann arrived as scheduled and was detained after he was found to be in possession of the property stolen in the Arkansas burglary.

While recovering the stolen property from Vann's vehicle, a gray zipper pouch was found. Inside this pouch was a set of digital scales and 9 grams of methamphetamine.

Vann was arrested and taken to the Bi-State Jail where Judge Nancy Talley later set his bond at $50,000.00.
