San Augustine man arrested for meth, guns, stolen property and child porn

SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, Texas — A man in San Augustine has been arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a felon, drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and child pornography was also found.

According to officials, on January 28, the San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office was called about a suspicious person slumped over the wheel on Highway 147 South.

When troopers arrived on scene, they woke the man and had him exit his vehicle. The trooper discovered the man was wearing a sidearm and disarmed him.

Further investigation found that the man was a convicted felon.

A large amount of methamphetamine was also found and the man was placed under arrest.

Inside the car troopers found 106.8 grams of meth, an illegal sawed-off shotgun, drug paraphernalia, stolen property and child porn.
