Mitch McVicker was only 24 at the time and sustained major head injuries. He says it's still a burden on his mind.

Today, McVicker held this concert at Oakland Heights Baptist Church. He says the accident has made spreading the Word of God an even bigger goal in his life.
"The music is just faith expression, and hopefully I do something to put people towards Jesus"
He says his concerts reflect Mullins' performances. McVicker tries to appeal to a crowd that is outside of the Church, hoping to draw in more souls.
"If I give them something to hang on to, then awesome."
Oakland Heights Baptist Church Pastor Butch Tanner says bringing in McVicker is to help others dealing with their own personal tragedies.

McVicker says he believes the tragedy happened for a reason. It allows him to better communicate with his audiences.
"Our trips through the valleys, our trips through the darkness make us who we are. If we are real about our lives, and truthful it will resonate with someone who needs to hear it.'
