EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - A July 13 tradition, Cheyenne Jackson sends up balloons in honor of her brother, Cole Jackson, family and friends by her side.

"Write our letters on the balloons. And, it's kind of my moment to say what I want to say that you don't really say out loud. And, just send it up to him so he knows we're thinking of him and we love him." said Cheyenne.

The nightmare began six years ago.

"It's very frustrating, very frustrating to think that somebody you've known you entire life could just disappear." said Cheyenne.

Cole disappeared in Timpson July 13, 2006. Cole was with a friend at a convenience store and left while his friend was getting food.

"When his friend went back out, he was hauling booty out of the parking lot with his truck, and they kept trying to call him, and he didn't answer."

Cole was last seen near FM 1645 and County Road 4230 just South of Timpson. Cheyenne says along the way, his truck got stuck in a man's garden. He told the man "bad people were after him."

"Supposedly, he made two phone calls. The first one was to his friend asking 'who do you have after me?' And then, the second one, he was a little bit calmer, saying 'please come pick me up on the lake road."

Cheyenne says that's the last anyone has heard from him. She doesn't know what kind of trouble he may have been involved in, but she says she will never give up trying to find out what happened to Cole.

Cole's case is still active in Shelby County. The Jackson family is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who can lead investigators to his whereabouts. If you have information, please call the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.
