(LONGVIEW) KYTX) - Longview Police have positively identified the victim from the September 20, 2015 homicide as Devyn Milek Gibson 18, of Longview.
Gibson died as a result of gunshot wounds.

On Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 12:59 a.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a Check Welfare near the intersection of Sibley Street and Rothrock Drive. The witness stated he saw a black male laying on the side of the roadway. When Officers arrived there was one black male victim laying on the side of the road. Police have limited information on this crime and are investigating this incident as a homicide.
