Work to begin this summer on Pine Tree ISD renovations funded by bond

A slew of upgrades are about to get underway across Pine Tree ISD after voters approved a $55 million bond measure in November.

LONGVIEW, Texas — A slew of upgrades are about to get underway across Pine Tree ISD after voters approved a $55 million bond measure in November.

The plan includes a renovation of the Pine Tree Junior High School bathrooms, moving the high school baseball field in order to make room for a career and technical education building and an 18,000-square-foot expansion to Parkway Elementary School, among other projects.

The work to the bathrooms and the relocation of the high school baseball field are planned for summer, said Superintendent Steve Clugston, adding that the Parkway addition and CTE building are scheduled to break ground in March 2025 with an expected completion date of summer 2025.
