Whitehouse native, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes surprises young fan with tickets to Super Bowl LVIII

Mahomes told Isaac when the Chiefs get to the Super Bowl this year and they get a touchdown, Mahomes will be throwing the football to Isaac's seat.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Young Isaac Murdock recently got a big surprise from no other than Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and Whitehouse native Patrick Mahomes.

Isaac, who was born with a rare spinal defect, thought he was invited to the Chiefs practice facility for just an interview.

In the video shared on the football team's website, Isaac was asked what he liked about Mahomes.

"Mainly just his attitude and how he approaches the game. He's humble," he replied.

As he responded to the question, the quarterback himself greeted Isaac with a "what's up" and surprised him with a special Christmas gift. On behalf of 15 and the Mahomies Foundation and the Kansas City Chiefs, Mahomes gave Isaac tickets to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

Isaac was shocked and responded with "this is crazy."

Mahomes said Isaac is still playing basketball and having fun, living a normal kid's life.

"We were talking about he wants to go to broadcast school and he wants to be a part of sports in some way," Mahomes said. "I'm glad that I'm able to help give him a opportunity to go to the Super Bowl and enjoy that and see it. One day, he's going to be broadcasting games and hopefully I'm around playing still."

Mahomes told Isaac when the Chiefs get to the Super Bowl this year and they get a touchdown, Mahomes will be throwing the football to Isaac's seat. The video also showed Mahomes signing a football for Isaac.

In the video, Mahomes said being able help people and make a difference is very important to him.

"I know how blessed I've been to be able to be in this position and I want to make an impact in other people's lives," Mahomes said. "If I never win another Super Bowl, I can always say I was the best person I could be every single day."

Super Bowl LVIII will air Feb. 11 on CBS19.
